Varieties of French Door

French patio doors, French interior doors, French exterior doors,
double-folding French doors, are just some of the available styles on todays market. French patio doors can be hinged, in a  out-swing or in-swing variation. The Interior French Doors can also have the same capabilities, and are available in a wide variety of colors and sizes. Interior French doors may be solid or hollow core, while exterior French doors are typically heavy and
weather-tight for added protection against the elements.

Just to make things a little clearer a French door can be (1) single door or a pair of doors all having some sort of glass panels.

All French doors can be a regular or folding door, and most interior French doors can be locked in place with ball catches, bolts or posts. French doors can be constructed with simple glass panels or a wide variety of decorative glass. They can be installed in pairs, so either one or both may be open. The best quality French doors are normally doors installed with divided lights that are beveled, thermal pane, or frosted.
